چکیده

Abstract Field‐effect transistors have strong applications in biosensing field from pH and glucose monitoring to genomics, proteomics, cell signaling assays, biomedical diagnostics general. Notable advantages are the high sensitivity (thanks intrinsic amplification), quick response (useful for real‐time monitoring), suitability miniaturization, compact portable read‐out systems. The initial concept of ion‐sensitive field‐effect evolved with emergence novel classes materials beyond traditional semiconductors. Recently, 2D nanomaterials redesigning providing superior performances large surface‐to‐volume ratio, carrier mobility, more effective local gating, transconductance, operation at low voltages. Here, after a brief conceptual introduction, we review progresses perspectives field‐effect‐transistor biosensors special focus on opportunities, most recent applications, present challenges, future perspectives.

Carbon nanomaterials field-effect-transistor-based biosensors

Carbon nanomaterials field-effect transistor (FET)-based electrical biosensors provide significant advantages over the current gold standards, holding great potential for realizing direct, label-free, real-time electrical detection of biomolecules in a multiplexed manner with ultrahigh sensitivity and excellent selectivity. The feasibility of integrating them with current complementary metal ox...

Silicon nanowire field-effect-transistor based biosensors: from sensitive to ultra-sensitive.

Silicon nanowire field effect transistors (SiNW-FETs) have shown great promise as biosensors in highly sensitive, selective, real-time and label-free measurements. While applications of SiNW-FETs for detection of biological species have been described in several publications, less attention has been devoted to summarize the conjugating methods involved in linking organic bio-receptors with the ...

Layered solids: from lubricants to 2D electronic materials*

FIG.1. WSe2 field-effect transistor with conducting NbSe2 leads in side view. Atomic-model representation of the NbSe2/WSe2 interface (top) and schematic structure of the device (bottom). (From Ref. [2]). Transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) with the chemical composition MX2 (M=Mo,Ti and X=S,Se) are layered solids known for their excellent behavior as dry lubricants. Interestingly, TMDs have...

Self-heating effect modeling of a carbon nanotube-based fieldeffect transistor (CNTFET)

We present the design and simulation of a single-walled carbon nanotube(SWCNT)-based field-effect transistor (FET) using Silvaco TCAD. In this paper, theself-heating effect modeling of the CNT MOSFET structure is performed and comparedwith conventional MOSFET structure having same channel length. The numericalresults are presented to show the self-heating effect on the I...
